The park hours say 7:30 but I called and they didn't seem to care much. I don't remember a gate and was told that coming before the parked "opened" would mean you don't have to pay for a launch fee?? Anyone use this launch on a regular basis out there?

Yea, you can get in and launch at no cost before the booth is manned. I have a year pass so its not much of an issue for me.

While the technical open time is 7:30, they open the gate for the anglers about 6:30.

Hope this isn't too late to RSVP. Will bring food (salad?) for the picnic and attempt to make derby. My fishing supplies are limited. Fishing supplies were stolen so the swap meet will help.

Got it, thanks!

I hope everyone has a great time at the picnic/derby. Unfortunately I wont be able to make the long drive down to Tapps on Saturday.

To all my WL.com friends, fans and GGs (Gringo Groupies):^o .

I am sorry to say that after 3 consecutive years as the casting champ I will have to lay down my crown and let someone else bask in the light that comes with this title. It is really too bad, I will miss the cheers, and the ride on all your shoulders as I heft that big ol trophy to the sky. And you all will miss my new and nearly patented blindfolded, behind the back triple mortal cast I have been perfecting throughout the past year (all those yoga classes for nothing!). :-"

My mom had eye surgery today (the surgery went well), and has asked for a little help getting around this weekend and as you all know, family comes 1st.

Good luck in the tourney, have a burger for me, take (and post) lots of pics and I will wait to find out who I will be reclaiming the crown from next year!:rambo:

Hope your mom will recover quickly. I had surgery in March. Back on the road 2 days later.

That's too bad you can't be there to lose. Image Image Next year.

BTW, if a few people could bring some folding tables that would help. I'm not sure what the picnic table situation will be. You should be prepared to lay out blankets to sit on. Like a real picnic!

We are all home, or at least some of us are. Great picnic as usual. Image The derby was good with good fish caught and great fish lost. Image

Thanks Mike, Fishnislife, and BigBassDez for putting on the event once again. Image
