UPDATE!! They put a tube in her groin then into her neck to circulate the blood. They have done this procedure and so far so good. It sounds like a kidney dialysis machine. Does any one know what it is?
Gringo I did PM you. My other daughter needed to read what you said.

Thank you all... Go catch fish for Alawna this weekend. She used to call me when I was fishing to talk and I would always (almost) get fish while she was on the phone with me.

UPDATE: I called the ICU and Alawna is in critical but stable condition. The tubes are large IV type things (they have a specific name and I can’t recall what it is) in the groin, the largest artery, and the neck, largest artery. In between, the blood is oxygenated. Machine or what ever I am not sure. It will help her.

Thank you all. I am not sure if I will be able to read or post that often in NC. I do have my phone that has 3 G.

I am very sorry to hear about this, I hope that everything is going well. It sounds like your daughter is in very good hands with a quick-to-act, knowledgeable, medical team which is wonderful.

My prayers go out to you and your family Toni!

Thanks everyone. I am in Chapel Hill NC.
When I got to the hospital I started to tear up and then when I got to the ICU I started crying as soon as I walked into the room. I was just overwhelmed - without sleep - and now I was there. They explained everything which I am not going to explain now but she is still bad but doing better. When I got there about 11am her O2 was at 62. the nurse said she would feel better if it were 75-80. The surgeon who took out her gallblader told them to change the bandage. At that time the O2 was 70. This was early afternoon. I went to the waiting room (nap) and came back it got up to 76. The they chnged her bedding ...it went back down to 62. 45 minutes later it was up to 77. I told them we were going to party when it hits 80. They also took her off of some things. I can't remember what that she did fine without. So she is taking little steps.

Gringo I got your PM and now I have seen what this thing can do. Thank you.
