DING DING DING DING Fish Lake is fun in a float tube or pontoon. Small and easy to navigate. Always enjoyable.

You got it BentRod. Your turn.

That should be the Fish Lake just northeast of Cheney. Great place to cool off after class on a summer day! lol.

I'll have to post a pic tomorrow as I can't seem to find a good one on this computer.

It is the Fish Lake about halfway between Spokane & Cheney, as the crow flies. That truly is a great looking boat. It was hand built, and those folks were gracious enough to let me take a picture. I can't remember what those type boats are called.

Well, I just looked it up. That type of a boat is called a Wherry.

That lake looked so familiar, once you wrote Tiger trout in the description, I remembered. Is a very beautiful lake, only been there once.

Fish Lake was one of Spokane's best kept secrets. Several years back, it was one of the best brook and brown trout lakes in the Pacific N.W. until the game department decided to kill it off and plant Tiger Trout in it. It is now overrun with Pumpkin Seeds and and the Tiger Trout are not keeping the numbers down. The WDFW should kill it off and replant it with Eastern Brook and German Brown again. It was my favorite local lake years back, but now it is pretty much a waste of time going out there.

The following picture is not from the lake. I pulled it off the net. The fish in the lake are about half that size. It makes it impossible to even fly fish with a dry fly.

Wenatchee River up in Tumwater area.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
