Honestly I could care less about your catching of rivers that most of us won't fish. Show me pics of fish from rivers around the green river or skyokomish or cowlitz. I know I don't have any pics to show anyone but I'd rather look at pics from guys who are catching in rivers that I will get to fish. Go start your own thread and label it winter fishing outside of washington or something. you would be the best fisherman in that thread I bet. good luck.

Well, first of all, the thread is titled "Winter Steel". There are no boundaries on what waters they come from. Second, it is very inconsiderate of you to tell someone to go start another thread because he is posting pictures of fish from waters you don't fish.

If someone in NY becomes a member of the site and wants to post Winter Steel Head photos for others to enjoy, they are more than welcome. Members post on this site to share photos and experiences with other members, not solely to meet your needs.

And third, you can consider this a moderators request that you refrain from telling members where and what kind of photos they can post.

Im with the majority, those are some awesome fish, by posting those you have made me consider a future fishing trip with my buddies, do you recall the price on a non-resident liscense for the season or a short-term liscense, once again I'm jealous...

Well i would post fish from around here, but i live in bellingham and EVERY steelhead river is closed, the closest is like the Skykomish, or cowlitz. Its only a 45 min drive to the vedder, so its easier. And yea the year license is 140, kinda sucks but i have done better in vedder than any rivers around here. One day is like 25, and 2 day might be 45 or so. With this said, today i Fished the Vedder again, and had my best day so far. Somehow managed to hook SIX steelhead, 2 of them came off after head shakes, one was estimated by me, my buddy and a guy downriver to be 20 or bigger, but came off my barbless hook (required) after several huge jumps and splashes, at least i got a good look at the biggest steelhead ive ever hooked or seen. Then i landed these three, all native, cant seem to get a hatchery. Check out the natives below, estimated at 10, 8 and 6 pounds. I'd like a picture of the monster tho. lol Oh and thanks for the backup on that one guys. Ill try to keep catching fish. haha

Anyone else think this steelhead i caught looks more like a silver with its broken/messed up jaw??? weird huh. looks like its getting a male coho hookjaw. if i took a picture straight on you would see that the tips of the top and bottom jaws are pointing opposite directions. Surprised it survived to be a multiple return, 17 pounder. Crazy looking mouth for a fresh buck steelie.

Nice fish! Guessing 12lbs Matt. I got one yesterday that was 33.5 and 16.75 inches in girth. A little over 12lbs.

Hey ff Looks like someone had him on for awhile. Maybe an Eagle tagged him or a Heron. Maybe hes a prize fighter.Its still a nice looking fish. Id say 13.5 pounds on Matts fish.
