Ya, caught a 2-3 smallie but the index card still in the plastic bag blew out of the boat on the way to the lake so can't count that one, so I fun fished for another hour, then went home. Found the card about a 1/4 mile from home just sitting off the shoulder of the road standing up like a tent. Even had the AMX letters facing me as I drove past it, real easy to read it. Stopped in the middle of my lane and walked over and picked it up, nobody even drove by. So I'm good for the next trip to the lake.

So I spent the rest of the day chasing down a machine shop that could press off and on the spindle bearing for the vehical, that took a couple hours. I pick up the unit Monday or Tuesday.

I was just reading the rules that came with the FNF baits. Yes, I got the 3x5 card,, but it said something about a "Code" being emailed to the contestants?? I have not recieved any code. So... it's take pic. of fish with tape measure showing over 14",, have the 3x5 card in the photo, show the FNF bait at least 4" worth in the fishes mouth... Good to go?

Yup, your handle is the 'code'. And the tape measure has to show the acual length of the fish. Then ALL fish you catch will have the lengths added up for a total, and so that will determine the winner, total length of all fish caught on a FnF lure.

risking your life to retrieve your index card - I like the dedication! :-"

Actually, that sounds like a very good omen, if you believe in those kind of things.

almost - have the date stamp on for your camera. If you don't know how to turn it on note the date and time either on the card or on a second card. The Index card is the "code".

I know, I got soaked last night, and again today. Little bites is all. The big one that got away last evening wasn't there this morning.

This front has made for a tough start to the Derby. Good thing it runs two weeks. We can't have two weeks of bad weather, right? right???

RIGHT!

I'm planning on waiting until Wed to go fishing again. Altho an hour or so ago I was thinking of going. But I looked outside, said it was cold and windy and went back to the tv and brownies. I hope I can stay home Mon and Tues, but I'm not promising anything. :-"

Wish I could have hung onto the pig that took the sink-n-fool last evening, pulled HARD with the drag screaming, then came off. She didn't want to bite this morning.

Fished Red Rock Lake fri-sat - caught 1 13" crappie, no bass. Fished Stan Coffin sat-sun - caught half a dozen tiny bass and one 14 1/4" on a crankbait while moving from one spot on the lake to another. Everything is soaked so cut the trip a few days short to dry out, regroup and plan for another day, a warmer day. LOL my hands lost feeling sat and sun in the mornings. Sat afternoon was warm for a couple hours. I'll post a few pics in here of non qualified fish once I get the pics out out of the cam. Hopefully I'll get back out in a few days to catch some qualifiers to post in the other thread. It's all good! Blue gills were on the bite in a big bad way!

Got home last night from Silver and my fish and bites came on other baits. #-o Bildge pump in my boat works great. Just looked at the leader board and don't feel to threatened after the first weekend. Off to Lake Palmer Wednesday morning for 5 days. Mid to high 70's all week. Ahhh

Here's the pics I said that I would post. I must find an easier way to get those pics out of the camera and into here, really time consuming. LOL I just gotta figure it out. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Make sure you have your camera or phone with a camera with you. I had a 4 pounder today only to find I forgot a camera and left my phone in the truck.
