It looks like there is a defined high water mark, so I am going to say the P.O. River north of Newport.

That didn't take long! It is Ashenfelter Bay on the Pend Oreille River just north of Newport.

Let's see your pic Marc!

Made a trip with my son to Deep Lake (Grant County) last Thursday so that he could prove to me that the lake now holds lots of Catfish. He was right and the catfish are running thick. I'll call Marc"s pic Deep Lake and give the next photo post a pass because the wife and I are leaving for North Idaho in just a couple of minutes. If I'm correct the next photo post is up for grabs.
Thanks Marc,

Maybe Blue Lake above Lenore, or Soap Lake just below? Damn, the scenery all looks the same in that neck of the woods.

Upper end of Lake Wenatchee. The below lake is Fish Lake, the mountain range looks similar, I ice fish Fish Lake, took the below picture, your picture has different shoreline though. I hunted the north end of Lake Wenatchee 25 years ago and recall the trees being similar to your photo. Never fished Lake Wenatchee though. The Little Wenatchee River sits in that valley. You can drive up that gravel road nearly all the way to Stevens Pass via Smith Brook spur or some such I recollect from about 22 yrs ago of travelling it last, fishing the cricks for little cutts, camping. Funny story of teaching my dog to "Get me a beer" up there... I got tired of getting up from the campfire to get myself another one so I taught the dog to fetch a beer for me from out of the cooler in the back of the truck..... Didn't dawn on me until just now, I could have just moved the cooler out of the back of the truck. LOL He learned so quick, I soon taught him to "get me a beer" out of the fridge. LOL

Duke is buried up the Chiwawa(sp) on Estes Butte.

Not Lake Wenatchee, sorry. Great pic and story though! RIP Duke. Is that Okanogan County Fish Lake?

LOL I thought for sure! Those mountains look so close to identical, I thought minor differences due to a different distance from them. I'll have to look at a map. LOL Chelan Co.

How about a hint? Since it's in Western WA, I'm guessing that this photo was taken while facing east, looking up one of the valleys into the Cascades.

A hint? Ok, fair enough. Those are not the Cascades in the background. They are the Olympics.
