I was out today fishing for "pinks" on the snohomish river for the first time. I kept two, one buck and one hen. It was tons of fun, Buzz bombs were the ticket. I got the hen grilling on the BBQ right now. I bled and gutted the fish right away and tossed it into my ice chest full of ice I had with me on the river.

My question is: What is the best way to store the other "pink"? Should I fillet it before it goes in the fridge? Should I leave it whole in the cooler covered in ice? I was kinda thinking about filleting it up and removing the skin and throwing it in a zip lock bag full of spices to let it marinate untill tomorrow night. What do you all think?

UPDATE- We ate the BBQ pink and it was great, a little to much seasoning on my part. I also cut the other salmon into fillets and revomed the skin. Going to put them in zip locks in the fridge. The wife is going to take some to her friend at work. The boy and I will be out again tomorrow to catch more pinks, This time I will only keep one. I need to buy a smoker!

This is a test for the new forum "view new posts"...
Pinks, are they worth it? YES!!!
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
