Humptulip winter steelhead
Thinking of going to the hump monday for silvers and steelhead around the stevens creek area and was wondering what is productive there to catch steelhead like jigs or corkies in what colors? Thinking of drifting corkies with eggs and float fishing jigs, I saw that the hatchery got 60 back this past week so any recent reports would be great too.

Steelhead will be really slow there, My guide buddies aren't even getting any steelhead. Coho has been really good down there, and for them, I'd use a jig or a spinner, Or bobber and eggs. But with the water this high it could be hard to.
There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.

so the water is still high, that is god because the last time I was down there it was rising and the fishing was amazing. I heard these steelhead come in early plus they almost have double the smolts released than the previous year. What are some good color jigs there.

Water high= terrible fishing.... No joke. Pretty much pink/white orange/white, you just got to go try new things!

really high water sucks, dude I slay steelhead in high water it is not even funny and it is so much easier cause the fish are like less than 10 ft from the bank.

It's still a little early for them too. They don't bite as much too.

Bratbonker..... Just to let you know, where ff filmed that video is legal to fish. You can ask the guys that work at the hatchery. And if you ask me,.that would be the perfect place to test gear like he said he was doing. Just my 2 cents worth.

I will be the other guy yelling fish on at the stretch above the log jam. Either that at the lil eddy tossing stee-lees and twitching nightmare jigs. you should try that one day in there, has to work for steelhead, 3/8 or 1/4 oz jig and just twitch back but work inside the shelves in there.
