Post by ckepka » Mon Apr 14, 2014 9:31 pm

Hello all,
First post to the forum. My buddy and I are in the AF and new to the area... we are looking to catch our first Muskie and Pike in the INW. I hear Newman has some, any other lakes/rivers? Or suggestions...tips/tricks for some new to the area AF guys?

Thanks a bunch!!!

Silver Lake also has Tiger Muskies in it and it's only minutes from the AF base.

Silver Lake should be getting better this coming weekend as the water temps get to 50 degrees. May seems to be the hot month for Silver. Unless you are very into it, I would suggest waiting till May to start fishing for them. If you would like to join me sometime, give me a shout. douglasjwood@gmail.com. I am on Silver almost every weekend.

You might consider attending one of our Mountain Muskies meetings. They are open to anyone, and all who attend have good advice and can answer specific questions. Our next meeting is next Tuesday night at 6:30, VFW Post 51 in Spokane.
