New licenses
When do we have to get new licenses [punch card for me] ? Isnt it like the first saturday in april or something?
Also, ill turn 15 this June, does that mean ill have to buy a license to finish off the season? (from 0-14 no license is required, just a punch card for salmon, halibut and sturgeon.)

RE:New licenses
Yeah also a liscence for 15 years is very cheap. A combination is only $7.93 or close to that. Way more affordable than the $45.00 most of us have to pay. But its worth every penny.

Cherish those teen years, boys. Fish, study, fish some more.
BTW, don't skip out on a college education, no matter what. Oregon State offers several fishing classes as a PE option, too.

Do they really! I'll be attending a university in two years, and if thats true I will seriously have to put Oregon State as "high priority" lol.cavdad45 wrote:Cherish those teen years, boys. Fish, study, fish some more.

RE:New licenses
Trust me don't just go to a school where their is a few enticing options...I would LOVE to go to some place and be surrounded by mountains and lakes and streams that have great fishing opportunities, but it is far more important to go to a good school that fits you best.....Awoods wrote:Do they really! My 2c is a little different -- don't for a second underestimate how awesome the opportunity that school presents you is. Sure we'd all rather be fishing than doing homework, but school is the KEY. Take college for example...
You can remake your life into virtually ANYTHING in 4 years. You can pass the four years without much effort, get a crummy degree from an "easy" school with plenty of time to fish. Or you can capitalize on what is one of the greatest opportunities of your life -- to transform yourself into almost anything you can imagine. It won't be easy, but the possibilities of just 4 years of hard work and focus are limitless...
And best of all, you can end up spending your days doing a job you enjoy, rather than a job that is drudgery.

Yeah, enjoy your youth. You get old like us,then its all about paying bills and fixing stuff around the house. You'll be asking yourself how did the early years pass by so fast.Derrick-k wrote:I love being 15 i don't need a job I can just fish all the time lol!!!

I had a good laugh reading that one.... If you only knew that when your like 40 something, you still really think your basicly 15, and also... it's funny to think that people of your age think that the rest of us are likely to hurt our back.
