Favorite Bass-lures
Hey guys,
There are so many different lures for fishing bass. Which baits (hard or softbaits) are your favorites?
best regards

My favorite goto is just a 4" twirl tail worm carolina rigged with very little weight, weedless of course. This produces the majority of my fish each season.
Second fav, tube jigs.

RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Of course I have to go with one of our sponsors - West Coast Custom Tackle's Western Stick in 4' or 5", green with red flake. Killer fished weightless!

Hey, Guys
It is not my top producer, but is my favorite. The Pop-R! Nothing beats the excitment of a topwater bite. A calm surface at dawn or dusk. the pop-r making a ripple as it splashes its way across the surface. then all the sudden pow and thr fight is on.

A bad day of fishing, is better then a good day at work!

If I had to fish with just one lure it would have to be a whit and chart. chatterbait, super versatile. My favorite thing to throw is not a lure but a fly. Its a purple and black dahlbergdiver thrown on a fly fod either late evening and at night or early morning. Its a topwater fly. This thing just kills the big fish.
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Lucky Craft LV500 In any color but if I had to choose one I would choose the ghost pattern.
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
man theres so many. well first off my top producers. senko spinnerbait and a crankbait. favorite to fish is a popper or buzzbait. flipping jigs is also alot of fun.

1/4 ounce painted jig head (black or white with eye) with either a pumpkinseed or watermellon seed 5 inch Kalins grub attached to it... Yamamoto Hula grubs are also a good producer:-) I love plastics.
Remember two things, love Washington and leave only your footprints behind!
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
The best all time bass lure is a jig. If a jig isnt your go to bait then you are really missing out!
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
i'll list my top 5 for smallies & largies (no particular order in the top 5)...
Smallies:
1.) GYCB 3.5" cut tail worm-dropshot
2.) GYCB hula grub
3.) 3" tube
4.) Sniper snub-dropshot
5.) any KGM dropshot bait
Largies:
1.) GYCB senko in all sizes
2.) Zoom baby brush hog
3.) Strike King premier plus spinnerbait
4.) GYCB kreature
5.) Skinny Bear jig & KGM craw
i don't use crankbaits all that much, but when i do my go-to crank would be a shadrap. i use a bunch of different ones though till i find one that works. and i didn't list any topwaters because i don't use them all that much either, but they are a ton of fun and have caught me some big fish. i like double buzzbaits & Zara spooks.

RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Man this is killing me. So many options. But my favorite (as this thread is titled) has to be the ROF 5 Huddleston because I have caught a lot of huge bass on this swimbait.
As far as what I use the most-
Reaction- SK Bleeding Lure Spinner Bait
Finesse- Roboworm 4.5" Curly Tail Aarons Magic or Oxblood, Dropshot
If I could afford it, BassTrix Fat Minnow or Skinney Bear Shad Eye would be my go to dropshot bait all the time.
Great thread. You guys have a lot of good lures that you use.

spinnerbaits and jigs are my go to lures
if we are good to are lakes and streams they will be good to us
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Favorite hard bait for either LM or SM: spinnerbait. Also like jerkbaits but not nearly as productive.
Soft bait, my fave would have to be the good ol grub (zoom & yamamoto). smkoe, watermelon or pumpkin, t-rigged.

RE:Favorite Bass-lures
I am a big fan of the spinner bait. I use a black or a green/blue skirt. I use other baits and have caught fish on them but i can cover alot of water and use spinnerbaits different ways. My buddy goes to rooster tails when all else fails.
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Favorite bait of mine is a buzzbait, various types. Lucky craft sammys are fun too. This time of year it has to be a Senko and a spinnerbait, and a drop shot roboworm for smallies.
aka Powerworm
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
I've got alot of favorite bass lures, but my favorite bite is the explosive hit on a top water lure(Pop-R).
RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Hands down my favorite is the silver flitter shad Zara Spook. I've just recently started giving jigs an honest try and they're quickly becoming my favorite, although detecting strikes is still kinda tough. With the Spook, there's no question !

RE:Favorite Bass-lures
Well Bass fishing and lures to catch them have really changed since I really got into Bass fishing and tournaments in the early 80's. Back then you had basicly a few brands of plugs, spinners, plastics ect ect. Now look at the market I use to swear by a grape 8" plastic worm, or a blue/chartuse with copper blades spinner bait. WOW have things changed I still use these items but not much any more. my staple now seams to be a 5" june bug colored lizard but will also have a pole set for just about any set up. I always have 6 poles ready in the boat,
#1 worm pole with the lizard
#2 spinnerbait
#3 jig and pig
#4 gitzit
#5 finesse worms
#6 senkos
one last option once in a while is a suspending jerk bait.
