Hey I appreciate the info - I went to the site but they did not seem to list any info - http://www.mardonresort.com/index.html - anyway I e-mailed them so maybe they'll e-mail me back.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Define "three guys". Your average resort rental boat would be dangerous with 3 large guys....

Chapman Lake has barges. Plenty big enough for 3 guys. You may not limit out though. It can be a tough lake to fish. Badger and Williams both come to mind as good possibilities for limiting. Google Klink's Resort. They may have some valuable info. All three of those lakes are a few miles south of Cheney.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

No resorts on Badger Lake, any more; a BIG second for Klink's on Williams Lake. Fishtrap Lake and Resort are another possibility.

Okay how about this - 2 former U.S. Marines and one USN Chief (current) - would the word "Husky" be a bit more descriptive? - maybe we should be looking to rent the Nimitz?

Well, there is another option.
I could rent one of my boats (or more, depending on what you have in mind) to you guys as a private party. Obviously all liability rests in your hands in the event of an accident, but I have rowboats, power boats, canoes, etc.
Price is obviously dependent on which craft you take, for how long, and when. The boats are all located at Long Lake.

Banks Lake. Coulee lodge rents out boats. CouleeLodgeResort@odessaoffice.com
I have never met a fish yet that respected a big purchase. You can own a $100 boat or you can own a $30,000 boat. You might be more comfortable, but don't expect any fish to care about your investment.

Check out the Cove on Fish Lake near Leavenworth. They rent 3 different size boats. One option they have is a pontoon boat which sounds like it would be perfect. We were there a week ago and limited out in under an hour both days.

At Lake Roosevelt you can rent boats. In fact you can rent some very nice houseboats .With them you just live and fish out the boat. Some even have hot tubs.
On a side note you can borrow my 8' Livingston if you so wish to.There are oars to go with it.No charge.Of course its really only a 2 med size person boat.PM me if interested.Im in South Seattle.

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

I believe you can rent boats at Downs lake, but not sure about limiting out or fitting three guys in there. I haven't been to Down for a couple of years though, so you might want to verify the info.

I would also recommend renting one from Mar Don resort. They have 3 different boats to choose from. The newest model they got is a really nice one that they got a few years ago. Bow mount trolling motor, fish finder a good fishing boat. They also have smaller aluminum's and party barges.
RE:Looking for a decent lake in the 509 area code that has boat rentals
The resort on Fishtrap Lake, south of Cheney, used to rent boats....think they were 14 foot aluminums though. There are some nice triploid rainbows in that lake if you have a trolling motor. When I was a kid my dad rented a 14 or 16 foot aluminum from Mar Don. We brought our own outboard, but we had two husky adults and two 14 year-olds on that boat with no problem. Had a great time and the boat was ready for us when we got there.
