Re post this under the classifieds, check there, if nothing go onto craigslist. Lots of boats on there, just be cautious. I just thought of something, a buddy of mine has a 16' flat bottom that needs a little work, it floats and fishes just fine but needs some cracks fixed by the transom, we hunted it for duck season and a few fishing days this spring. It would be boat only, no motor or trailer, he lives in CDA. He would probably let it go for $400.

Definatly check craigslist. You have to check it several times a day though because those go fast. Good Luck
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.

Watch out on Craigslist though, I see a lot of junkers/money pits and people ask a lot for them. You should be able to find a nice 12-14 foot jon/vhull on a decent trailer for under $1000, just be looking on CL a lot, those usually go the day of or the day after...Not a lot of people selling good shaped smaller aluminums, lots of people trying to get a used one before they go new....
Don't chase reports...Be the report others chase....
