Where are some good calm lakes to fish for Bluegill and Yellow Perch in the Tacoma / Gig Harbor area? Also, when is a good time of year for this? First post! Thanks!

I was just at Square Lake yesterday. It's located in Port Orchard not too far from Gig harbor I was looking at the lake for bass and seen alot of bluegill and perch around the shoreline. There was good strong numbers of them on there beds so if Port Orchard isnt to far give it a look. The lake is small and rarely has anyone on it.There is a trail at the end of the parking lot that will take around the lake to some fishing holes.

Just about all the lakes in Purdy,Kitsap. Have pan fish. Click on countys on the map on the home page. Most of the lakes are small.A boat or tube will do you good.
