Fruit Flies

Post by racfish » Fri Oct 17, 2008 12:18 pm

I put this in this forum because it had to do with bugs.Thus the name of this forum.
Has anyone else been getting mass Fruit Flies buzzing around the home or office?This year in perticular I've been noticing way way more of those pesky flying creatures.For every 10 you kill there are 100 to take their places.Sheeeesh,I cant eat anything w/o them hovering around.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators,its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.

Remember:
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health.

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of poop

We had a crazy number of them in our place this year.

I'd open a cupboard and 4 or 5 would appear from seemingly nowhere.

I tried hanging fly paper but those crafty buggers would land on it and chill for a while, and then just fly away.

I never really have understood how they just seem to appear from thin air. Does anyone know? Like when you open the garbage lid and they just fly out. The lid was secured the whole time and there was no real chance for them to get inside but somehow they manage. Is it because either them or their eggs are already in the waste we toss in the trash and make their escape when the lid is opened?

Always has confused me.:scratch:

No not yet.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
