Got my first BMB today!

Post by MikeFishes » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:27 pm

So, I got my first BMB today at a secret lake that I've been checking out. I got him on a dark green worm with purple and yellow specks Texas Rigged. The water there is pretty dark, so I thought that worm would work best. I did try a white one with dark speckes, but no action on that. He put up a pretty good fight, much more than what I've had before. Not a huge lunker, but he was pretty big. I'm looking forward to going back to see what else I can get.

Nice looking Large Mouth (LMB)...I'm jealous. As I was posting my sob story about not being able to catch anything since I moved up here, you were downloading your pictures.

Well done. Time to rig up some Texas worms. I'll pay you a sum of ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!! For your "zipper lip" lake.....I won't tell a sole .

Went there today, there were 4 other groups fishing, total of about 8 people fishing the little hole. So, not really a secret lake if that many people fish there. Let's say un-published.

BTW, while I got no bites today, I was in a area where there were definately fish. I'm thinking bluegil or something like that. What do you use to get them to bite? It'd be fun to try and catch at least one of every species in that water.

You poor fellow Mikey - You may be hooked on bass fishing for life.
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

Fishing adds years to your life and life to your years - Homer Circle
