My biggest brown ever!!!

Post by fishaholictaz » Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:01 pm

I had the day off today so I headed back to the river:cheers: I started fishing with a night crawler and egg with no luck so I switched to a repala and caught some nice fish. There were a few times that I got to top water fish 4 browns:compress:

So the big fish, I was casting on the edge of a seem and twitching it a little and the browns would come up and SLAM IT!! I made a cast back in this calm little dead water area and twitched my little repala a couple times and the next thing I know the water explodes:colors: I ended up hooking and landing the fish and I estimate it to be around 4 and a half pounds it was so awesome. What a cool looking fish it was very well colored with dark markings. I didn't have a camera today but I am sure u guys believe me:-"

I guess it can slide this time, but in the future I want pics. JK. I believe you 100%, I just want a pic next time so I can be jealous of your catch.:colors: LOL!!! Of course only dink trout here in Washington.:shaking: Unless you count steelhead, but even then Washington doesn't manage them right, (some hatchery, almost no nates, some things never change and probably never will) or the cheating triploid-(like a scooter, fun until your friends find out what you are doing). 8-[

These fish here seem to want to live a little more that is for sure, it is nice to have the fish that have learned to grow up running from their older brothers:cheers: I am in heaven as far as having a place to go catch decent fish regularly. A trout will average 16" here the small ones are easy to avoid. But even the 10 inchers I caught in the river I knew they were there a lot of air time with the little fish:-"
