Fish ID needed.
Recently I was on vacation in Florida, near the upper pan handle, Destin area. There were some ponds behind the house and of course I had to wet a line. I caught a handful of these panfish,,,, but I can't exactly be sure what it is.
Maybe crappie, sunfish, pumpkinseed??????? Anybody recognize it? I know it is another part of the country, but it looks like some of our panfish here too.

There are many species of sunfish. It is not a pumkinseed, Crappie, or bluegill. It has the mouth the size of a rock bass but is not that either. Curado could be right I don't know enough about the fish in florida.

hey quad to answer you question that my friend is a green sunfish warmouth hybrid I ran into these while fishing AL while I was living there for the past two years they seem to always get stunned
An old man once told me that if you stick a worm on a hook drop it over the bank you can feed your self for life. I tried it modified it and geez I am beating them off with a broom now.
