Ok........ I told you guys I would let you know how I did at mineral for for crawdads, well I got skunked. It was kind of low on the priority list, but excuses aside there were some being taken. I had the bright idea to try the other side of the lake, you know not by where the other 30 pots were. I think my pot was sitting in muck all weekend. But I do have some tips for you guys. Put your pots by the other pots, its pretty hard to miss, but if you launch your boat at the lions club camp ground, just go off to the right a little. Im not sure if this is even legal, but I saw a few boats go and through all their fish guts right in the area with all the pots. I know this spot has a gravel bottom, lots of stumps and is by the mineral creek outlet, a crawdads dream home. But to make matters worse, after getting skunded on the dads, on the last day there were some kids going right off the dock with their traps and they had a bucket full of them. I got kind of a kick out of that LOL

I've also spotted/unintentionally caught some 'dads at Pine Lake to the right of the fishing dock roughly two docks down (facing the lake from the park.) There is a shallow area with some structure; if you see a semi-submerged picnic table on near the shore you've found the spot.

The Skookumchuck River (Thurston/Lewis County) is loaded with crawdads in areas.

You have boyer park listed already that is where I get most of my crawdads but today while fishing at wawawai county park I pulled in a large bass and when I fillet my fish I always open up their stomach and it had two large crawdads in it. Next time I go out there I'll bring my crawdad trap to see if there is enough to be worthy of a soak.

Has any one actually seen or caught a crawfish at the Conconully Res? I soaked my pots up there for a week and got nothing.

I have put pots for crawdads out in Lake Kapowsin two different times and caught nothing, except a perch. I was using salmon heads that were caught that morning. I thought I was putting the pots in a rocky area, but nothing. Does anyone fish that lake and or know that lake well enough to give me some assistance. Also, I was thinking about Ohop Lake because there are less stumps to aviod. Does anyone know about that lake? I just really want to catch these dads for a good dinner. Any assitance will be greatly appreciated.

I would try the back side of the big island down towards eriksons. It's a steep bank with rocks.
They have to be in there. let me know if you find any.

potholes & moses lake are also full of them. the resort at mardon checks traps daily, and some tourney guys i know soak pots near the i-90 bridge on moses. i ate some of the ones at potholes, and, "goood" and "big" is all i can say.

I love Pine Lake because all the craws are the Louisiana type, and those are really big, aggressive and stupid. Not a good combo if someone is targeting you.
