"8" is enough!
After spending 6hrs volunteer'n taking apart a few displays at the Yakima "Home and Garden Show" that were donated to the "Restore" here in Yakima I went down to Myron Lake from 3:30-5:30pm and had one of the best fishing days in a long time. Not only did I catch several small bass, several trout the biggest 18" a perch and over "40" crappie that were 6-7" and a dozen crappie that averaged 11" kept (8) to eat and finally had to leave with the bite still "HOT". Gave out several cards to this site and several jigs to several fishers. I caught the fish all on a variety of jigs I've made (pictured) including a couple of those trout/panfish "Candy Jigs" i posted about in the ice fishing forum. I wish I had My camera with me!!!

Sounds like a good fishing trip with nice looking crappies. Its great that you only keep the one that you plan to eat and release everything else. Keeps the fishery in a healthy condition.

RE:"8" is enough!
went down today and fish'd from 5:00- 7:00pm the crappie left the area but i did get two nice pumpkinseed's a couple of perch and a few trout though i did get one crappie on the last few casts from a differnt spot. the wave action is what brought them in to feed and it was calm today.

I've only been out once this spring so far. I was supposed to be testing the boat out for the season but we spotted a few small schools so decided to fish for an hour or so lol. Caught 3 nice ones by drifting jigs under a slip float off a point on Lake Sawyer last week. My first real trip of the season will be to Lake Washington or Sammamish on April 2nd. We'll post a report for sure.panfisher wrote:Hey SlabKing! Have you been getting any yourself?

Myron Lake is a small lake that has good shore access as does Rotary Lake, I-82ponds #1&2,#4&5, #6. for the yakima area.
