Sparky, Given my location and profile information, Tag figured it out. I brought the fish to my store (where I work), weighed it on the certified meat scale (where I work) and took a picture or ten. Then took it home, put on the cutting board in my kitchen, layed out with the tape measure and photographed some more. The Bass was over 20" long. Ya wanna see more pics? I gotta a bunch of them! By the way, this is the first Bass I caught that was over 2 lbs. And from now on, I will C & R unless I am hungry! TASTY FISH!

Hey Notagator,

The rest of us (especially Sparky) would love to see some more pics of your catch. This thread has not been getting enough action lately. Just out of curiosity, which recipe did you use? I understand Loucipher does an unbelievable pan fry with onion, lemon, potatoes, salt and pepper with nasturtium flowers and parsley for garnish of course. I hear it is to die for. Good fishin'....

Nuttin wrong with eating a Bass now and then. VERY tasty fish. I've spent MANY years of not keeping a fish, so I can keep one now and then now. I like them MUCH better than trout.

That is some impressive girth and a nice red vent. Oh, the magic Loucipher could create in the kitchen with a nice 4.67 pounder.

click on 'attach'

look to the right where it says 'delet' in blue - to the right of each picture 'addy'

click on the 'delete' for the picture you want to delete.

Thanks guys, I caught a few more way smaller this afternoon after work but I am not greedy. C and R until I get hungry again. Mud Lake is for Cat food, Clear Lake feeds the family.
