Puget Sound River Boating/ Fishing

Hey all-
I am thinking of buying a drift boat or maybe even a smaller jet sled, and so I am looking for some help finding out which puget sound rivers allow fishing from a boat and in which seasons it is allowed. Probly a part of the wdfw site shows it, but I just cant seem to find it!

You have to search through the regulations for your answer. If you download the PDF version of the regs you can use the built in search function of the reader to do the searching for you. The sticky part is finding out which rivers have the unritten "no sled" rule before you launch your boat and come back to your vandalized rig after a day on the river. Take a look at the Green river in King County. It has certian restrictions regarding fishing from a boat dependant upon the time of year and no mention of a motor restriction. What this means is that you can float the river during the restriction, you just need to get out of the boat to fish it. However, I've never seen a jet on the Green and it's probably a good idea not to try running one to see why that is. If you have a solid partner to fish with, start off with a drift boat. You can launch them just about anywhere and you won't need to worry about hacking off the locals nearly as much as you would with a sled.
