St. Joe River Idaho

If you like river fishing with a fly rod, the St. Joe is a great place. Tin Can Flat is a great campground with ample level ground for tents and asphalt slabs for campers & camp trailers. It has decent outhouses, grated firepits, picnic tables and I believe some spots have smaller elevated cooking platforms. If you need some supplies, Cheffy's store is just 10 miles downstream. Best of all, you're only a stone's throw from the river. Wildlife includes, deer, moose, a few wolves, bears, blue grouse you can almost walk up to, and of course native westslope cutthroat trout. All single barbless hook, flies only and catch and release.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.
