Hey guys,
I am headed to lake cle elum for the first time next month. What is the status of the fishery? Any help with tips,tricks,or locations would be great!!

Interest on this lake has declined significantly in the last 5 years D/T
1) gillnetting
2) slot limit on kokanee (9-15")
3) unlimited harvest of lake, brown, and brook trout
4) cessation of annual plantings by WDFW

This is about the only time of year you can be assured of not encountering large wind waves on Lake Cle Elum. Image was taken yesterday, from Hex Mountain.

There is still 18"+ snow on the ground, not to mention the plow backwash that is super high on the road edges. The new launch will start construction after the snow is gone.
