Took my friend Mike Granillo out for a morning of Bass fishing at Fiorito Lake near Ellensberg. As usual, the lake was packed with trout fishers, but after the stormy weather the day before on Moses Lake- the mild temps and overcast skies were a welcome change. We took my 10' Jon boat out to the center Island and immediately started catching smallish Largemouth bass. 3" smoke S/P Kalin's grubs on 1/16th oz jigheads and green pumpkin Yammamoto 3" Tiny Ika's on the same jighead.provided lot's of action. We fished the trees along the north east bank, where I picked up a half dozen nice Bass to 14" , And one tiny stickup provided the biggest bass of the day. Then a rafter and two boats crowded us out. I had at least 15 consequtive hook ups so we no longer had the spot to ourselves. We caught and released at least 75 bass in a couple of hours. Mike had never trolled before, so I broke out the trolling rods and we finished the morning off by picking up two limits of rainbows on brass smiley blades and rainbow wedding rings with worms. The biggest bow was right at 13" and Mike really liked how fast and easy the bites came. Nice day, good memories. What a nice way to spend the worning. The Jigmiester..
