Spent the week with friends that live in the Spokane area and fished every day with my friend Bear...early morning to dark... for 5 days in a row. My host (the Bear) and I hit at least 2 different area lakes or rivers each day - in search of largemouth and smallmouth bass...and anything else that would bite!

Morning, Day One, July 11, 2010: Eloika Lake, largemouth bass fishing along/among the weeds/pad edges, together we caught and released 14 largemouth (many nice crappie too!). The Bear took me to his favorite spots, and we stuck some nice bass using a variety of plastics, especially worms...good action for the time we were there, with most fish between 2 and 4 pounds. Thanks for sharing Bear, I'll keep your secrets forever. What an incredible fishery and new boat launch...I love this bass lake! More reports to come.
