Went out to Eloika with my son, brother in law, and two nephews. We figured
Eloika would be a nice place since it's small and has lots of bass. As Craig
says we used mostly spinnerbaits since the kids are small and it's a fool proof
way to snag some bass. Water temps were upper 60's and my guess is some areas hit
70 by afternoon. We only were able to fish a couple hours from 730am to 1030am. Caught
3 bass and none of them dinks. Our biggest was caught by my brother in law
and he helped his 4yr old son reel in his first fish. It was just over 16 inches
and super fat! Went close to 3 lbs I would guess. My two were smaller but
still nice fish my biggest was about. 2lbs. Weed edges and reeds were key and
the big one was right up by shore probably scoping out places to spawn.
Wind was tricky at about 15 mph but we still
Had a blast.
