need help! secluded camping suggestions.
Me and some buddies are looking to go and do some camping drinking and fishing but we want to go to some place AWAY from civilization. When I think of this I think of waking up opening my tent to my boat on the lake waiting for me to jump in and go. Whethers there's trees or sage brush it doesn't matter. North or east as long as we can camp in a place that is secluded and free. Any suggestions?

Might have to resort to that, just wanted to see if anyone would throw up any ideas for good spots

There are some boat access only spots on lake chelan. Great fishing and the only way to get to the campsites is by boat. Do a google search for boat access camp sites lake chelan.

Very funny Nate! LOL The funniest part is, I was there about 37 years ago. Big Heart is about 17 miles in if my memory serves me, up the Foss River drainage. I did have a boat/vinyl raft. It is remote. LOLnatetreat wrote:http://goo.gl/maps/5R4e
I'm not sure if the Dunes/ORV portion of the Potholes Reservoir is still a secluded spot or not. Maybe weekdays...... IDK

Baker Lake might be an idea for you. You can launch at Shannon Creek Campground or one of the other campgrounds on the lake and then motor across the lake and find your "secluded" camping spot. You will have to pay to leave your car and trailer at the park but the camping would be free. It's about as secluded as you can get without having to hike into a lake. Just be careful, the bears might be out and about.

Naches, milk pond, if you have a rig you want to take to the hills a little bit, A very very secluded lake is called milk lake, along the same road. no signs, but the trout were jumping all day up there, and considering its a pretty safe bet no one has fished there cause of the road being washed out, i cant imagine how big the fish have gotten. I havent been up there in 5 yrs or longer, but i remember catching fish all day long, might be a little hike, but im sure it would be worth it, also heard golden trout are in that lake
It wouldnt be called fishing unless you are always catching, best of luck!

I just got bake from Baker lake. If you go mid week you should be able to get a good secluded spot. If not even the sites at Shannon Creek are far apart and quite. I saw a lot of people that would launch there boat from Shannon Creek then camp down the road right next to the lake. But with the Sockeye in there right now there are a lot of people hitting the lake. Saterday morning we counted over 60 boats.

Spearfish Lake down along the Columbia has free camping for 4 days - at least they had the last time I was there. See my overview on the lake index. Bass and trout.
