To the Gentleman ....

Post by Nylar » Tue Sep 03, 2013 10:58 am

To the Gentleman in a boat with the green noise canceling headphones.
thank you for buzzing the shore and speeding up when we were waiving you to get further from the shore. because of your actions you may want to check your motor. you probley have 100 yards of braid wraped around the prop. just thought i would let you know i dont want something that expensive getting broken.

but in other words i think george takei will say it best

Boats actually disturb the water less when on a plane. So maybe he's a jerk and swerving at or he might have to run in the deep channel and is trying to be polite by staying on a plane.

If this on the Duwi I know of the jerk you speak of. He purposefully did a high speed 360 around me while I was on my toon Sunday. He did it fairly close then took off. I do not believe that he was able to hear my gentle words to him. :)

being a jerk is lame.. and i have seen boaters do it.. but i have also seen bankies yelling at boats to slow down in sections where the boats need to be on plane. and as spoonman said being on plane causes less wake than not..
I had some guy yelling at me last week on the snoho and I was as far off shore as i could be and he didn't understand that its ok for my boat to be on the river too..

but yeah, just hauling butt close to shore to be a jerk is flat out disrespectful!!

Boats only have so much room in a river. If they are running down your side you should probably reel in when they come by.

There were real D bags on the Snohomish last weekend, I had boats buzz me in my boat when they had 9/10th of the river to travel on rather than buzzing me at high speed. Some of it was intentional, some of the idiots are the typical inept boaters that come out every Pink season and have no consideration or comon sense. My buddy was bank fishing on the Snohomish Sunday and saw a boat get swamped, one the guys could not swim..could of turned out real bad if it wasnt for some other boaters who had some brains to use
