Clear Lake is 155 acres, 90 feet deep, with a developed shoreline. This lake is 17 miles south of Puyallup on Hwy 161. Turn left at Clear Lake N Rd East to find the public boat ramp. A single concrete ramp, able to launch boats to 16ft safely. Ramp ends in about 4 feet deep water. There is ample parking available. The lake holds Rainbows, kokanee, Crappie, large and smallmouth bass, and Perch. Clear Lake is 85 feet deep at the center. Clear Lake is a pretty lake with an excellent view of Mt. Rainer surrounded by wooded hills. There is active water skiing.
From Toni: "Clear lake is one of many lakes in Western Washington - a developed shoreline with summer and year-round homes. These lakes tend to be under 200 acres. Thus, they are quiet, peaceful lakes to visit. (except when the water skiers get going!) Many of them get yearly stockings so they usual have fish to catch. Clear lake also has a bonus - great views of Mt Rainer. Unfortunately, the day I was there the only views I had were of overcast clouds so you'll have take my word for it."

Drove up With the kids to the short 1/10th of a mile walk to Coal Lake. There are several nice camp sites on the lake. The lake is small maybe 9 or 10 acres. There is almost consistent surface feeding. I could see fish 6 to 9 inches but they would not take my spinner. This little lake is beautiful, pretty shades of green and blue. I'll most likely be back with the kids next year to camp and try to figure these fish out. One other note. There are 3 other lakes to hike to within a 1/2 mile of coal lake - Pass lake trail head is 2 tenths of a mile past coal lake and unmarked. and a little further down the road it ends with a trail head to Independence and north lakes. Bring your trail head parking pass. Keep it Clean Cracker Jack

Cocolalla Lake, located approximately 10 miles south of Sandpoint, just off of Highway 95, provides an easy access year around fishery. Total size of Cocolalla Lake is about 800 acres, with an average depth of nearly 26 feet. Feeding the lake is Cocolalla Creek which also provides spawning habitat for brown, rainbow, cutthroat and brook trout.
Fishing access to Cocolalla for the shoreline angler is primarily limited to the northeast end and the east shoreline. Private ownership limits access on the southern end and west side. Boat access is available on the northeast end adjacent to the campground.
Although the primary fishing pressure on Cocolalla Lake has been for trout, opportunities for other warm water species really sets this lake apart from other north Idaho lakes. Particularly unique is the chance to catch very nice channel catfish. Channel catfish were stocked into the lake by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and have done very well. The average size is about 4 pounds, with official reports of 11 pounds, and numerous unofficial reports of catches even larger. Other warm water species present are largemouth bass, crappie and an abundance of perch.

Coldwater Lake (700 acres): Located in the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument off SR 504, Coldwater Lake was formed by a debris dam resulting from the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Skamania and Cowlitz counties share this lake, but the main access is in Cowlitz County. Rainbow trout fingerlings stocked in the late 1980s have grown to impressive size, and have begun reproducing on their own. No additional planting is planned. Cutthroat trout, apparent survivors of the eruption, also inhabit the lake. Selective fishery regulations are in effect, with a one-fish limit and 16-inch minimum size limit. Electric fishing motors are allowed. Coldwater opened to excellent fishing in summer 1993, with limited shoreline access provided by the U.S. Forest Service. A boat launch, fish cleaning station, and nature walk were completed in 1994. Contact the Forest Service's Mount St. Helens monument headquarters (306/247-5473) for access information. Disabled accessibility - Level 2 at the boat ramp. WCT, Blk Tpa, steep ramp

Located 5 miles NE from Usk, this 20 acre lake holds rainbows.
Cooks is a relatively shallow lake. During high water years like 2006, (see photos) it is only 20 ft deep. In years that the water level is low it is not much more than a large pond. There is easy access for launching a small boat and the forest service has provided updated toilets, however there are no developed campsites. Marc Martyn

Cooper Lake (120 acres): This high lake above Salmon-La-Sac is a consistent producer of brook trout and rainbows 7 to 10 inches. Small kokanee are also taken. Cooper Lake is accessible by road from the upper Cle Elum River, and a boat-launching facility is available. Gasoline motors are prohibited.
At approximately 2,789 feet (850 meters) above sea level and pierced with sundry old timber, this lake is fed and drained by the Cooper River, a tributary of the Cle Elum River, and hosts brook trout, rainbow, and kokanee, according to Foghorn Outdoors' 1996-97 Washington Fishing. What is not mentioned is that the lake has brown trout in it. Mike MacGregor

This 160 acre reservoir is located two miles east of Sutherlin on the south side of County
Road 300 (also called Cooper Creek Road). The long narrow reservoir averages more than 20 feet deep and is fairly productive. Lots of big largemouth bass are taken each year with fish weighing more than nine pounds having been landed in recent years. Fair numbers of black crappie are in the reservoir as are good numbers of sizable bluegills and some brown bullheads. The lake is also heavily stocked with rainbow trout. Only a few coves on the lake, but they produce well, especially when they are protected from the wind and therefore easier to fish. There are two nice picnic areas with boat ramps on the reservoir with one being near the dam and the other farther up the lake on the north side.
