Jackson Fishing Reports

Pierce County's Jackson Lake covers 16 surface acres, has a maximum depth of 30 feet and lies at an elevation of 196 feet. Fish species include largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill. Public access is provided by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area provides lots of parking space, a toilet and a solid dirt and gravel boat launching area. Private homes with docks ring much of the shoreline. Prime bass habitat in this stained water lake includes lots of lily pads, cattails, overhanging brush and trees, lots of old logs and wood in the water and the private docks.
