Bay Fishing Reports

Bay Lake covers 129 surface acres and reaches a maximum depth of only about 12 feet. It is located at an elevation of only 27 feet. The shoreline is mostly natural with lots of overhanging trees and brush. Very few lake side homes. Fish species include largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, brown bullhead catfish and planted rainbow trout. Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area has lots of room for parking, a pit toilet and lakeshore gravel boat launching. (No specific place - Anywhere you can find a spot between bank anglers. Shoreline angling is quite popular and seemingly quite productive during the early spring. The lake gets very weedy during the warmer summer months. Bob Johansen
